Cost of the event

The Head of School Girls Regatta is free of cost to come and watch, but the food and catering is not free. The merchandise is not free, and the Day planner is not free either.

Location of the event

When the Head of School Girls regatta was first invented, the event was at the Ballarat River, Now it is on the Barwon River, in Geelong, Victoria.



Dates of the events

In previous years, the Head of School girls Regatta has been in mid March. This year, the regatta is on the 13th and the 14th of March, 2010.
The event starts at 8.00 AM -6.00PM on both days

Head of School Girls Information

The Head of the School Girls regatta first Started in 1981 when Girls began competing in the Senior Regatta with the Geelong Grammar school. These schools consist of Geelong college, Melbourne Girls Grammar, Morongo Girls College and Lauriston Girls School, Racing in 1st and 2nd fours over 800m. Methodist Ladies College and Carey Baptist Grammar School joined in 1982. It then saw Wesley college, and Caulfield join with all schools having one boat race over 1500m. The Head of the School Girls now has over 320 crews and over 2009 competitors, all from year 9 through to year 12.
